LDR a.k.a Long Distance Relationship

"Ang LONG DISTANCE RELATIONSHIP ay para sa matitibay lang yan, para sa marunong makuntento sa isa, sa marunong maghintay. Paano mo sasabihing mahal mo ang isang tao, kung sa DISTANSYA nyo lang susuko ka na?" - unknown

Whew! yes. I am proud of myself and my partner because we have come this far. Nine years had passed,  looking back when I was just a seaman's girlfriend, nothing has changed to what the secret and main ingredients are in maintaining our relationship and keeping the love alive despite the distance. Still, LOVE + GOD + constant Communication is the answer.

Now, that I am a seaman's wife and we have a baby already, there maybe some changes in how we are dealing the long distance relationship. I may not be able to say exactly what has changed, but I still believe that in every successful relationship, there are only two persons involved, committed to each other to make the relationship work. I can confidently say, that we are loyal and faithful to one another, and  I hope and pray that Lord will guide us to make our relationship strong each day.

While we have already prove ourselves that we are truly, madly, deeply IN LOVE with each other, that does not end in there. Being just in love, does not guarantee any couple that the relationship will work, since a long distance relationship is an extraordinary and special relationship, it also needs hardwork on both part. CONSTANT COMMUNICATION is important. I say constant because atleast you need to allot an hour or more each day to communicate with your partner. And nowadays, communication becomes easy because of many social networking sites available through Internet-  facebook, skype and yahoo messenger to name few.

Even after his tiring work everyday, he makes an effort to set a time when we can talk and chat considering the different time zones, of course an effort on my part too for sleeping late night just see him smile on webcam.

For those special occasions such as birthdays we are not together, there is the youtube to thank for sending our special greetings. There are million ways we can make and  it is just all about the efforts we can do to make our partner special even if we are too far from each other.

We must never forget to put God above everything, because  being in LDR is never easy, we need a God to help us make everything possible, to make our relationship strong and faithful. Most importantly, you must also love yourself next to God; that is when you can only give more to your husband and to your child. Besides, loving and taking care of yourself while your partner is away, is the greatest thing you can do for him.

Still, What’s good thing about our relationship is that, once he is back, were like starting again. Excitement is always around. The feeling grows more! It always ends up me saying: HE IS WORTH THE WAIT.

ALL I EVER WANTED WHEN HE COMES HOME, IS HIS SWEETEST HUGS AND KISSES
MORE THAN THESE SWEET CHOCOLATES.
