Our Baguio City Adventure

The three days and two nights Baguio experience wasn't enough. I wish we could stay longer to the place which captured my heart. Yes, I fell inlove with the beauty of Baguio City and I promise to be back.

The Baguio City experience has been more exciting for me because I am with my hubby and my 1 year old baby. Specially, exploring Baguio on our own without a tour guide....I super love it!

****************************
We left Manila at exactly 6:30 am via Victory Liner and arrived Baguio City almost 1:00 pm. First destination ...BURNHAM PARK. This is said to be one of the most popular and well-loved parks in the Philippines. Also, it is the heart of Baguio City. So when you are in Baguio, never fail to visit the park because it is as if you never went to Baguio if you haven't got the chance to be there.

Here in BURNHAM PARK, there are rowboats for hire in the man-made lake called Burnham Lagoon. You'll surely enjoy it.

You can also enjoy biking in the park...

Another place to see in Baguio is THE MANSION. The official summer ressidence of the Philippine President.

And right accross The Mansion is the WRIGHT PARK, where you can ride a horse and explore the place. In our case, picture lang with a horse. hehehe!

It is also in Wright Park, where you can rent an Igorot costume for picture taking souvenirs. Just like this..

A cute Igorot baby.....hehee

The Wright Park is also a very romantic place.

Next attraction, is the famous Baguio BOTANICAL GARDEN.

On our second day in Baguio, the next destination is the...STRAWBERRY FARM in La Trinidad, Benguet. We woke up early and headed early to the farm at around 8am to avoid the traffic... the idea that we learned from a taxi driver in Baguio. However, My husband and I were disappointed because strawberries are not on its season for picking.Too bad, we missed the Baguio Style of strawberry picking, which is one of the best activity to do here in Baguio. Well, it's okay, there's always a next time.

Because we do not want our day to be ruined by the said disappointment, so we decided to go to CA MP JOHN HAY to continue the fun experience in Baguio....good thing, the place didn't failed to give us the amazing experience and touch with the green environment and the fresh cool air.

Another place to visit on our list is the MINES VIEW PARK... From the observation deck, we've seen the breathtaking view of the mountains of Benguet. whoa! really amazing creation of God!

We also got the chance to have some souvernir pictures with the popular dog, St. Bernard at the entrance of the park...

pansin mo? c Chloe takot sa dog...hahha!

And now, we're excited to go to the PHILIPPINE MILITARY ACADEMY... On a Sunday morning, we are lucky enough to have witnessed the cadets performing their drill... parade, and dance exhibition...

Next, we went uphill to see the LOURDES GROTTO. Nomatter how tiring it was to go up on 252 steps, it was all worth it specially when you are infront of the grotto.

We thank the Lord for giving us this wonderful adventure. Though, we are sad that we couldn't stay long in this Grotto, but our devotion and sincere faith to Him, we will bring forever in our hearts wherever we will be. Thank you Lord for the safe and fun experience in Baguio.

After visiting the Lourdes Grotto, we went downtown to see the other attraction in Baguio...it is the mini park called SUNSHINE PARK.

'twas already 4 o'clock on a Sunday afternoon (our second day in Baguio). We thought we've already been to all the places listed on the checklist of the places we need to see in Baguio, until we saw the ZIGZAG ROAD VIEW on the list. Hmmm not done yet!.... Jepoy kept on asking me, "Ano'ng meron dyan?" Avah malay ko! Puzzled as we are, we hired a taxi to bring us to the place called Zigzag Road View or the Kennon Road View...whew exciting! Manong driver said, it's in Camp 7... so wherever it is, bring us there!

The moment I stepped on the viewing deck, I could only utter....."oh Jeff, shit!"....... napamura talaga ako sa sobrang ganda...I feel like I'm close to heaven when i saw the place. Amazing.heart-stopping.extra-ordinary.wonderful ..lahat lahat na.......really! No exact word can describe the feeling when you are there. Of all the places we've been to, the Kennon Road view is one of the best... Husband told me, we're going to stay until the evening...I can see that Chloe is also enjoying the breathtaking view of the place.

The Kennon Road view is the last location we visited on our 2nd day in Baguio, it's true...you really have to SAVE THE BEST FOR LAST.

Wow...beautful..it really is....

The saddest part: saying goodbye to the place which already captured my heart. We left Baguio Monday at 12 noon. Before we left, we dropped by at the Burnham Park to go rowboating and biking again. SANA MAULIT MULI. Farewell Baguio.
